Meeting Minutes¶

• UNSW Library Mini Project
  Discussion led by: Andrew Miller

1. Fusion - take 2 images of the same person in similar time periods and modality

Have the ability to take an ROI which is drawn over the top of the first scan
Transform 2D into 3D then back into 2D – UNSW library should do that in DICOM and nifty format
CT to PET – fusion, get them into the same space, purple + green, blue + white and when colours overlap it should go white
When the fusion is done, you don’t change the numbers in the scans, it should be a transformation object so you know how far to twist something to get the overlapping correct. Choosing where centre of rotation is and getting it in the right place

Conclusion:

1. Andrew to show an example of image fusion on a commercial product/ what they use at the hospital
2. 1 x team member to contact UNSW for image fusion library
3. 2 - 3 x team members to investigate image fusion library
